Community Action [Agency] Program summer worker Vickie Williams, seated at right, teaches preschool children the alphabet, to count and to identify colors during a morning session at the newly organized recreation program for children, aged 3 to 17, living on Fort Worth's North Side. also pictures is Mrs. Mary Baker, one of the dozen parents who attend the session, who was instrumental in promoting the program. Joe Marquez, Neighborhood Center director for the North Side, organized the activities. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition August 17, 1967.
