Description
A huge American flag waved proudly as a squadron of Army helicopters swooped low over Independence Day ceremonies of Fort Wolters commemorating its designation as a permanent Army installation. A stirring, patriotic speech by a U.S. Congressman a booming 50-gun salute, and a shiny-helmeted honor guard contingent helped flavor the sunny ceremonies. The post is a helicopter pilot training base.
