Description
Mrs. Hanford E. Scott models a gown from the spring and summer collection in a Fort Worth bridal shop. The gown of Chantilly-type lace is combined with silk organza. The waistline is dropped slightly and bias banding at the midriff gives a higher bustline effect. The silk organza skirt is accented with lace above a deep hemline. The square scalloped neckline, studded with seed pearls and iridescent, is deep to a V in back. A back pouf bow is held in place with a lace motif. The illusion veil is attached to a half-cap of matching lace and elbow-length mitts complement the short sleeves. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition March 29, 1960.
