Jazz King Paul Whiteman, left, receives a key to the city, containing a hidden corkscrew, from Mayor Tom McCann in ceremonies Thursday at Colonial Country Club. The day also was named Paul Whiteman Day. His orchestra will play at the clubs silver anniversary balls Friday and Saturday. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning edition February 24, 1961.
