Mrs. Frank Mechau poses before a painting by her late husband featured in a retrospective exhibition of his work at an invitational champagne reception at Amon Carter Museum of Western Art. The painting "Tom Kenney Comes home", was done in 1943 three years before Mechau's death at 42. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning edition May 12, 1967.
