E. Clyde Whitlock, left, Star-Telegram music critic, presented the first E. Clyde Whitlock Award to Robert Barney, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Barney of 2325 Westbrook, for outstanding musicianship in the field of instrumental music. He is in ninth grade at Riverside Junior High School. Whitlock also received an award in the ceremony at the school for his contributions to music. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening edition May 12, 1966.
