Description
Tarrant County Sheriff's Captain R. N. Gilley, left arrested Lew Herbert at Casa Manana. Herbert, the No. 1 gangster in Casa's production of "Kiss Me, Kate", was cited for entering Texas without a permit. Gilley released his prisoner after making him an honorary deputy sheriff. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning edition July 30, 1960.
