Browsing through the new River Oaks Library, corner of River Oaks Blvd. and Glenwick, before a dedicatory service Sunday, are, left to right, Mrs. John Whitmire, librarian; C. C. Makarwich, River Oaks mayor pro tem, and Mayor Bob Blevins. The new library, of one-story masonry construction, cost $10,000, covers 1,200 square feet and has 5,000 volumes. Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning edition February 1, 1960.
