Senior's Veteran Livestock Editor Frank Reeves was absolutely flabbergasted when some of the folks he has been working with at livestock sales for years decided they'd surprise Reeves. The friends, field men for livestock publications, auctioneers and livestock association men who work the sales presented Frank with some very nice matched luggage. Shown doing the presentation job here is O. R. Peterson, manager of the National Livestock Auction Company, which has staged many of the sales Frank as worked. Reeves, feeling a little under the weather, almost did not go to Henry Elder's home for the surprise, but wife, Nora Reeves managed to get him there. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram April 1951.
