Sister Marie Therese of OLV Academy helps Sylvia Cowdin with the word "synthesis" which Sylvia missed only after spelling down 34 other candidates to win a spelling bee of seven Catholic schools at St. Alice's. Team winners behind them are, left to right, Margaret Quigley, Joann Rice, Lynn Ann Geary, Connie Jo Duncan and Connie Luby, all of St. James School in Dallas.
