Image shows a solar eclipse. This was the only solar eclipse visible from Fort Worth in 1951. The moon appears between the earth and the sun, covering 34 percent of the sun's diameter at its peak around 4:40 p.m. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 8, 1951.
