Image shows Fort Worth visitors at ceremonies on Whitney Dam when a link of State Highway 22 across the top of the dam was opened. Were greeted by Staff Sergeant Fred T. Basham, former mayor of Whitney, Air Force and stationed at Carswell Air Base. He is shown welcoming visitors. Left to right, Mrs. F. W. Frank, Sergeant Basham, F. W. Frank, Mrs. C. S. Willingham and C. S. Willingham. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 5, 1951.
