First-place winners in the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show square dance contest, for which the finals were held, were the Amarillo Barn Dancers, consisting of, left to right standing, Virgil Holloway, Curtis Bell, Mrs. Bell, Thurman Parish and Mrs. Parish; left to right kneeling, Miss Clara Holloway, Caller C. M. White, and Mrs. Wila Croom, the Bells' daughter.
