Bert L. Hutchinson, right, of 908 North West 25th, who had been blinded five years prior, is shown receiving a check from Jack E. Davis, left, or the Blue Bonnet Disabled American Veterans (DAV) post, that would be used to pay for his transportation to Hollywood, California, where he would receive a seeing-eye service dog. Published in the evening edition, February 16, 1951.
