Description
This image, looking west at the east end of the East-West Expressway, was a typical of morning conditions throughout the city. Scores of vehicles are shown stalled, some having skidded off the roadway or otherwise halted on the expressway and, to the left, on Stove Foundry Road. The photo was taken from the west edge of South Summit, near Vickery Boulevard. Published in the evening edition, February 14, 1951.
