    Description

    Miss Rose Marie Roth, 19-year-old junior at Texas Christian University, is the candidate of the Senior Catholic Youth Organization for the title of Fort Worth's Mardi Gras queen. Miss Roth, of Akron Ohio, moved to Fort Worth and entered Our Lady of Victory High School in the eighth grade. She graduated with honors from OLV High School in 1947. At TCU, she is majoring in Spanis hand after hours she works in the Fort Worth Press circulation department. The CYO candidate is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil R. Roth of 1201 W. Bewick. The winning candidate will be crowned by Mayor Deen at the third annual Mardi Gras Ball-and-Festival of the Laneri High School Boosters Club at hotel Texas' Crystal Ballroom.
