Image shows Lieutenant Colonel Jack F. Burnett, center, task force commander of the medical airlift that will leave Carswell Air Base to Hensely, is taking a last-minute check with two flight nurses. Left to right, is Lieutenant Pauline Brinkmeyer and Lieutenant Velma Aardal. The airborne hospital can hold 36 beds and is the first of its kind in the area. They are shown checking a flight list in the snow in front of the plane. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 2, 1951.
