Image shows three members of the Pure Oil Company's exploration department. The three members were added to its Texas division: seated, C. Win Payne, division geophysicist, president of the Permian Basin Geophysical Society, transfer from Midland. Standing left to right, J. Lee Davis, geophysicist, Big Spring, and Gregory L. Turner, geologist from Tyler. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 4, 1951.
