Jim Hering, right, of Mcgregor accepts a championship banner for showing Miss Larette, the 1951 prize-winning Hereford heifer at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. The award was presented to Hering by Jack Turner, secretary of the American Hereford Association, Kansas City. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition January 31, 1951.
