Image shows three members of the United States Navy inspection board. They found the Surface Divisions 885 and 883 United States Navy Reserve (USNR), satisfactory after a two-day survey. They are shown looking over a PT-engine. From left to right, Commander Edwin K. Jones of Dallas, Lieutenant Commanders Kenneth E. Spangler of Abilene, and John C. Clovis of Wichita Falls. They are all regular Navy inspector- instructors. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 25, 1951.
