Description

Plaid-shirted Mayor Conrad Duwe of Lewisville, in dunking cage, watches with relief as a wild pitch misses the target that would have sent him feet-first into a pool of cold water. Citizens were able to buy three pitches for 25 cents. Scene is at the civic carnival being held by Lewisville to raise $6,000 to complete the volunteer firefighter's hall.
