Description
Cathy Adkins, Tarrant County's poster girl for the 1950 March of Dimes, gives a pep talk to Legionnaires Tommie Gay, center, and C. C. Downs, who will collect funds for the polio drive at Golden Gloves bouts. Cathy spent a year in treatment of polio. She wears crutches, corset and full-length leg braces to support her walking.
