Mr. and Mrs. Jim Elder have purchased the Arlington Retail Merchants Association from Mrs. Maida Smith May. The association has 100 members. Mrs. Elder is the former Miss Kay Utz of Odessa. Elder, longtime resident of Arlington and former pro boxer, is a twin brother of City Commissioner Joe Elder. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening January 4, 1951.
