Description
Don E. Difford, 22-year-old "Christmas temporary mail carrier" for the Fort Worth post office admitting to throwing away mail on December 26th, with no reason for it. Gifford entered a plea of guilty at his arraignment before United States Commissioner Robert F. Milam to changes of "secreting and destroying numerous letters addressed to persons in the 4800 to 5100 blocks of Lovell and adjacent streets on December 26th, which letters were entrusted to him for delivery as a city carrier." He was held on $1,000 bond. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning December 30, 1950.
