Description
Bust image shot of W. A. Smith. A Petroleum company employee who is retiring January 1st after more than 37 years' service, installed the first gasoline pump to service cars in Fort Worth about 1907. He recalled that he put in the pump for the old Waters Pierce Oil Company on 10th street between Main and Rusk (now commerce) Streets. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition December 29, 1950.
