Description
Kermit's Rick Spinks (far left) breaks into the clear on a 69-yard return of the opening kickoff for a touchdown against Wharton in their state Class A finals battle in Sweetwater. That's Milburn Rust (88), and two unidentified Wharton grid men giving chase. Wharton rallied to win, 13-9. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition December 26, 1950.
