Description

This string orchestra, directed by George Orum, center, was featured in a concert at the Star-Telegram community Christmas tree and music festival in Burk Burnett Park. At the Hammond organ is Dot Echols Orum. Standing just beyond the organ are Paul Huffor, left, president of the Fort Worth Professional Musicians Association, and Ed Lally, concert arrangements committee chairman. Alice Holcomb McDaniel, extreme right, was a soloist. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 18, 1950.
