Nancy Jo Essner, 2, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Essner, 4170 Hemphill, began saving pennies for a pair of cowboy boots as soon as she became a Texan. Her parents moved to Texas from Sioux Falls, S. D. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 28, 1950.
