Description

Ruling over Handley High School's homecoming pep rally was Football Queen Carol Routt, 17-year-old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Routt, 2915 Forrest. Carol marched to her throne on a raised platform on the arm of football Captain Don Hughes, who crowned her. She was presented with flowers by Co-Captain Vincent Gillespie. She is shown seated at a piano. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 17, 1950.
