Description
The storied Furlough Den in Long Beach, Cal., where Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Young (front row) befriended stranded service couples during the war, was the starting place for a warm friendship between the Youngs and Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Langford (at left, standing), of 2725 Burchill Rd. S., and Mr. and Mrs. George Hubbert of Irving, whose daughter, Judy, 6, stands between her "adopted" grandparents. The Youngs visited the Langfords and the Hubberts. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 13, 1950.
