Kiwanis International President Don Murdoch of Winnipeg, Canada, known as the "gateway to the West," was presented with a pair of cowboy boots by Kiwanians from Fort Worth, "where the West begins." Mrs. Murdoch beamed approval. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 10, 1950.
