Description
Miss Yvette Dare seated on a chair and posed for a photo while holding a parrot on her index finger, "Lippy" the macaw. The clipping reads, "In addition to the fine music-makers in town, there's something of a unique entertainer at the Skyliner Club these nights. She's Yvette Dare, a girl who likes to wear a skirt and sweater when she's not in her 'East Indian' costume...What makes Miss Dare different on a night club floor is that she has a parrot, 'Einstein Lipstick,' to help her take off her clothes...She keeps seven macaws, largest of the parrot species on her California ranch home." Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 10, 1950.
