Description
Trapped on the Texas two-yard line by an unidentified Longhorn tackler, Southern Methodist's Ben White flips the ball to Kyle Rote (44), who went the rest of the way for SMU's first touchdown at Austin. The player slipping up on Rote is Bobby Dillon, Texas safetyman, but he's too late. Rote scored twice in the thriller, which was one of the nation's top games. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition November 5, 1950.
