Description
Jerry Carlson, 10, who accidentally slashed an artery in his right thigh while whittling out a boat model at his home, 2825 Rodeo, receives a bit of encouragement at St. Joseph's Hospital from his brother, Bob, 15, credited with saving his brother's life when he used first aid knowledge gained in junior high school to slow the flow of blood with a tourniquet and compresses made from a bed sheet. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Carlson. Jerry was reported "doing fine." Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 30, 1950.
