Description
City Councilman Edward L. Baker, right, representing Mayor Deen, accepts from Fred Korth, city Crusade for Freedom chairman, the replica of the Freedom Bell unveiled in Burnett Park. One of 35 to be shown in the United States, the bell is a symbol used in a campaign against communism. Scrolls were maintained by members of Beta Sigma Phi sorority in order for residents to add their names to the roll call for democracy. Published in the Fort Worth Star - Telegram morning edition, October 4, 1950.
