Description
A check for $142,578.21 was brought to Fort Worth's city tax office by R. H. Waterman, right, tax commissioner for the Texas and Pacific Railway, in payment of the railroad's 1950 city and school district ad valorem taxes-four months ahead of the January 31, 1951, deadline. Accepting the check are W. C. Curlee, center, city tax assessor collector, and Priest Lipscomb, chief clerk. Published in the Fort Worth Star - Telegram evening edition, September 27, 1950.
