James M. Noah, Roanoke merchant, center, was named by Mayor C. W. Fanning to turn on the gas for Roanoke. At left is Jack Cherry, district foreman for Lone Star Gas Company at Grand Prairie, and at right, Charlie Wheeler, sub district manager at Grapevine.
