Description
Lt. John J. McGraw, a casualty of World War 2 was to be reburied here with full military honors. Lieutenant McGraw died while piloting a B-24 bomber during the historic Ploesti raid of August 1, 1943. In the raid 177 Liberator bombers plastered the Romanian refineries that were supplying the Wehrmacht with gasoline and other petroleum products.
