Mrs. Sophie Francis, center, who has been a displaced person since the end of the war, sat between Misses Lee Thornton, left, and Grace Thorton and warily said "my friends." By giving her a home, they made it possible for Mrs. Francis to leave a Dp center in Germany. She has not yet learned English.
