Seated at his desk in the Naval Reserve Training Center, 2222 Worth, the new Fort Worth Naval Reserve chief, Commander William T. Samuels, USN, conferred with Lieutenant Commander M. L. Dickerson, USNR, on a recruiting drive to replace mobilized personnel. Dickerson took over organized Surface Battalion 824. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition September 7, 1950.
