It was a happy moment for Mr. and Mrs. Boyd when a wildcat was spudded on their 2000-acre farm in Freestone County to usher in Bill Boy Day. They were snapped at the drill site. Senator Tom Connally stands to the right. Published in the morning edition, January 20, 1950.
