Description

Image shows an air view of a train wreck. The derailment of Santa Fe's Los Angeles to Houston train near Lometa caused injury to 45 people. The car at the far right of the image turned completely over, landing back on its wheels. Most of the injured were in that car. The trains dinner, lounge car, and three pullmans also left the track, however the pullmans did not overturn. The lower right and left corners of the image are partially obscured. Published in the morning edition, September 1, 1950.
