Hardin-Simmons University bandsmen Don Cunningham, left, of Abernathy, and Bob Moody of Lamesa, served "breakfast" at the T&P station to Bear and Will Junior, two of seven white horses traveling with the band to Chicago for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Encampment. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition August 26, 1950.
