Rear Admiral William K. Phillips, commanding officer of the 8th Naval District with headquarters at New Orleans, stop by at Fort Worth for an inspection of Navy facilities. He is accompanied by his director of naval reserve training Captain Alexander Jackson. They attended a luncheon together given in the honor of Admiral Phillips. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 25, 1950.
