Description
Eating out of mess kits, Tarrant County's four draft board chairmen were guests of Lieutenant Colonel Kurt Schnellenbach, Fort Worth Quartermaster Depot executive officer, at a "GI dinner" in the Star-Telegram cafeteria at which a standard "5-in-1" ration was served. Left to right, are Dr. W. J. Danforth, C. F. Gilchrist, Schnellenbach, Brown Harwood and R. E. Cowan. All found it good and the supply more than ample. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition August 22, 1950.
