Mr. George B. McCamey and Mrs. Olive Lankford McCamey of Fort Worth are shown cutting a 500-pound cake, baked for the city of McCamey's 25th anniversary. The town was named for the Fort Worth man who, with associates, drilled in the Upton County discovery pool in 1925. Published in the morning edition, August 22, 1950.
