Miss Jan Pauley, left, who won her title as "Miss McCamey" when her home town celebrated its 25th anniversary. She is shown getting a kiss on the cheek from George B. McCamey, center, of Fort Worth, one of the same group who spudded in the first producing well in the area, a strike which resulted in further development in the huge Permian basin area. Mr. McCamey's wife stands to the right of the image. Published in the morning edition, August 20, 1950.
