Description
Mrs. Laura Palmer Daggett, 86, a member of the pioneer Fort Worth family, died on August 11, 1950, after a long illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Daggett Jennings, at 1204 Virginia Place. Mrs. Daggett was the widow of E. M. "Bud" Daggett, who was named for his uncle, Captain Ephriam Merrill Daggett, called by historians to be "The Father of Fort Worth." Published in the evening edition, August 11, 1950.
