Image shows, left to right, Darla Poss, Katyn Hudson, Tivila Fern McCoy, and Kay Young. The girls are preparing for the recreation department's baton twirling contest that would be held at North Side Recreation Hall. The contest was open to all ages. The girls would also appear in the organization's 20th annual circus, held at La Grave Field. Published in the morning edition, August 11, 1950.
