Image shows part of a line of hundreds of applicants seeking jobs at Convair, an American aircraft manufacturing company. The line is gathered outside the Texas Employment Commission, which took over the job of screening jobseekers for the company. An Army and Air Force recruitment poster is visible to the left of the image. Published in the morning edition, August 7, 1950.
